FAQ About Horseback Riding
Do we get our own horse?
Our experiences are one rider with one horse. Guests cannot share a horse and children cannot ride on a horse with their parents.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Helmets are provided to ensure the safety of our riders and we strongly encourage all of our guests to wear one, regardless of experience level. All riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet, no exceptions. Adults who wish not to wear a helmet must sign a “no helmet” waiver.
Do I need any prior riding experience?
No prior experience is necessary. Our trail rides are designed for all skill levels, and our guides will provide basic riding instructions before the ride begins. If you are an experienced rider, consider our Cowboy Adventure to match your skill level!
What kind of terrain will we be riding on?
Our trails cover a variety of terrains, including open pastures, woodland areas, and gentle slopes. We do NOT ride through water or cross streams.
What makes your trail rides different from others?
Our trail rides offer a unique experience, including riding through pastures with Texas Longhorn cows, potentially helping to push the cows, and a variety of terrains including obstacle parks and beautiful natural trails. Our small group sizes and personalized attention ensure a memorable experience.
Is there an opportunity to learn more about horses and their care?
Absolutely! Our experience includes brushing and saddling as part of our trail ride. Our guides also are happy to answer any questions you have.
Do I need to make a reservation?
All experiences must be booked and paid in advance. For the health and safety of our horses, we cannot accommodate walk-ins.
