Humberstone Ranch is first and foremost home to our animals. Their feeding, care and quiet time are planned throughout the day, which is why all visits must be booked in advance and take place as part of a guided experience. The ranch is private property and is not a public park. Visitors cannot arrive without a booking or walk around the property on their own. We appreciate your understanding and ask that our team be treated with kindness and respect.
A short drive from Niagara Falls leads to something entirely different. Visitors often describe their time at Humberstone Ranch as the highlight of their vacation. Locals say they are planning their next visit before they even leave.
A short drive from Niagara Falls Canada lies another natural gem to be discovered. In the picturesque Niagara countryside, Humberstone Ranch offers a contrasting experience to the thundering waters of the falls. Trade the misty sprays of Niagara Falls for gentle breezes of open pastures.
Western horseback riding lessons and trail rides on our property are offered through a third party, James Davidson. Do not contact Humberstone Ranch directly. To book or learn more about his program, contact James directly at jamesjohndavidson@gmail.com or call/text 905-321-0419.
Ranch life carries on in most conditions. Dress for the forecast and embrace the countryside. If weather ever makes a visit unsafe, such as a thunder storm, we’ll communicate directly with you the morning of your tour day.
08 | What if the weather isn’t perfect?
Not at all. Couples, friends, families, and solo visitors all enjoy time at the ranch. Many guests tell us it was the highlight of their Niagara getaway
07 | Is this experience just for children?
Dress comfortably and in layers for the weather. Jeans or long (not loose) pants and closed-toe shoes are a must. This is a working ranch, which means uneven ground, fresh country air, and yes, sometimes mud or the occasional reminder that animals live here. Avoid dangling items, our goats are charming but curious.
06 | What should we wear?
No. Humberstone Ranch offers a guided ranch experience rooted in respect, education, and meaningful connection. It’s hands-on, but always intentional and never chaotic.
05 | Is this a petting zoo?
You’ll spend time with our goats, bunnies, Indian Runner ducks, pigs, Texas Longhorns, and miniature horse. Each animal has its own personality, and your visit includes guided, hands-on interaction where appropriate. (Meet our animals)
04 | What animals will we meet?
Our guided farm visit runs about one hour. It’s thoughtfully paced so you can slow down, meet the animals properly, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
03 | How long is the Field and Friends Farm Visit?
We’re tucked into the Niagara countryside in Port Colborne, about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls and one hour from Toronto. Close to the action, but a world away in atmosphere. You can put “Humberstone Ranch” right into Google Maps to find us.
02 | Where is Humberstone Ranch located?
Reservations are required for all experiences at Humberstone Ranch. We are unable to accommodate walk-ins, as each visit is scheduled with care for both our guests and our animals.
