Humberstone Ranch is not a petting zoo. It is a guided ranch experience rooted in respect, education, and meaningful connection.
Group sizes vary by season. During the colder months, visits tend to be smaller and more intimate. During peak season, group experiences may include approximately 12 to 17 guests. Private tours are available for those seeking a more exclusive experience.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Hand sanitizer stations are available at each animal interaction, and guests will have the opportunity to wash their hands at the conclusion of the visit.
We can accommodate strollers and guests with mobility considerations. If you have specific needs, please email us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
Dress comfortably and in layers for the weather.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Jeans or long (not loose) pants are recommended. Avoid dangling items and hooded tops.
This is a working ranch. That means uneven ground, fresh country air, and occasionally mud or reminders that animals live here. Dress appropriately and you’ll be perfectly comfortable.
Complimentary onsite parking is available for all guests.

Outside pets are not permitted on the property under any circumstances.
All of our animals are prey animals. Even the most well-behaved family pet may react unpredictably in a new environment filled with unfamiliar smells and livestock. The ranch is not an environment for exposure training or testing behavior.
For the safety and well-being of our animals and guests, please leave pets at home.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property, including the parking lot.
As a working ranch surrounded by pasture and open land, fire safety is extremely important to us. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment.
Humberstone Ranch maintains a strict zero-tolerance alcohol policy.
Alcohol is not permitted on the property at any time. This includes drinking prior to arrival. Guests who appear to be under the influence will not be permitted to participate in the experience.
No. The animals at Humberstone Ranch are not raised for meat, resale, or production purposes. They are part of the fabric of daily life here and are cared for with the intention that they remain with us long-term.
Our goal is to provide each animal with a safe, stable, and rewarding life. They are here to be known, cared for, and respected — not cycled through or treated as inventory.
Ranch life carries on in most conditions. Please dress for the forecast. If severe weather makes a visit unsafe, we will contact you directly.
Our daily schedule is carefully timed around animal care and other bookings. All experiences begin and end on time.
For group and non-private experiences, guests who arrive after the scheduled start time will forfeit the entire experience without refund or credit.
For private experiences, guests who arrive after the scheduled start time will forfeit that portion of their visit without refund or credit. The experience will still conclude at its originally scheduled time.
There are no exceptions.
All guests are required to complete a waiver prior to participating in their experience.
All sales are final. Due to the nature of scheduling a working ranch, we do not offer cancellations, refunds, or credits.
If you need to reschedule, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Requests made within 48 hours of your scheduled visit cannot be accommodated. Bookings may be transferred to another guest but cannot be canceled for refund.
