The only Western style riding lessons in Niagara. Whether you're a beginner eager to take your first strides in the saddle or an experienced rider seeking to refine your skills, our expert trainers provide an enriching experience for all levels.
Ranch and Rodeo Roping
Learn the time-honored art of ``cowboy roping`` directly from our trainers. In these comprehensive lessons, you'll gain hands-on experience making accurate throws as well as perfecting your speed, agility, and teamwork.
Farm Tours
Experience the heart of Niagara’s countryside with an exclusive farm tour on our ranch. Don't forget your camera!
Trail Riders Experience
Think of this as our horse whisperer experience. Many find it the ultimate in relaxation and a wonderful kind of horse therapy.
Western Wrangler Experience
Think of this as your introduction to a dude ranch. Experience bonding with a horse as well as the excitement of horseback riding and learning to lasso just like they did in the wild west.
Horse Relaxation Experience
The highlight for many, use your newfound skills - and understanding of horse communication - to horseback ride. Weather and temperature determine locations, but options include our arenas, pastures or through the property.
Things to Know
Policies
Reservations are required for all experiences at our ranch. We cannot accommodate walk-ins.
Humberstone Ranch is a four-season facility. In the event of inclement weather, experiences will be held inside our indoor arena.
Due to the complex nature of scheduling a working ranch, all sales are final.
Dress Code
Ideal clothing for a ranch visit includes jeans or long pants as well as jackets/ shirts without hoods. No long jewelry. Closed toed shoes/boots are a must.
Photos
For safety, you can’t take use your phone while riding. But don’t worry, we’ll provide lots of photo opportunities!
Food & Drink
While we do not currently offer food and drinks for sale at the ranch, we provide complimentary water and granola bars for our visitors.
We recommend bringing any additional food or beverages you may need during your time at Humberstone.
